About

The Revivalist is a blog in flux, or constant development. This began as a place for myself and other conservative Christians to voice opinions and to encourage one another to contend for the faith, and it has transitioned as we have transitioned. Since the inception of the blog we have experienced the directive of the Holy Spirit to focus ever more intently on “revival,” and we hope that this blog will now reflect this change.

Darlene and I now attempt to pastor a small group of believers that the Father has brought into our lives, and we are constantly learning just how dense we really are, and how much we truly need His light!

As a group we believe we are called to pray with fervent, and hungry hearts for revival, and to portray and instruct others as to what revival really is, but first we believe that we must be revived. We have met the opposition and found it to be religious and mostly in control of the churches of the western world! We reject the mediocrity of the western church, in particular the churches we have been involved in, and we lament the apathy and decadence of a church that is stained with the darkness of this present age. We believe in weeping for the slain of the kingdom, and being broken over the lukewarmness of the body of Christ. We believe that the church looks much more like the Laodicean church in the book of Revelations than a glorious virgin bride, and we will pray (by the grace of God) until we see real and substantial repentance, and we don’t mean a few dramatic tears being shed in classical Hollywood fashion. We believe our service to the Father is to yield our lives as instruments for revival and restoration.

We believe Jesus deserves something more from this bargain!
