Let’s see if I have this straight. The head of the Anglican Church who condones the ordination of practicing homosexuals as bishops wants to lecture the Catholic Church on their faliings? I’d suggest he clean his own house first.
The priest/pedophile scandal is a horror. No question. It has been horribly mishandled. But neither has the Chuch condoned and held up as example people who sin, and openly proclaim it as acceptable behavior.

I think you have it pretty straight Ross
The sins of the every congregation are open and exposed before the Lord. If we are honest, then we recognize the sins of leaders, the sins of our own brethren, and of course our own sin. It is certainly a sad state of affairs when a group that has exalted sexual sin by ordaining those who openly practice such, has opted to criticize the Catholic leadership. As you mentioned, it has been a horrific scandal, and I am sure there has been many failures to handle the known sin in proper fashion, but I am also sure that the Catholics are not going to legitimize pedophilia, or homosexuality as acceptable preactices anytime soon. This is more than can be said for a number of major denominations.
